How is this different from the Paw Cool Oasis Bed?
This version adds Regular and Large size choices plus three surface options. Choose it when size, resting footprint, or pawing style matters more; choose by your pet’s actual needs rather than assuming one version is stronger in every situation.
How does the cooling water bed work?
You fill the center with cool tap water to create a broad, water-cushioned resting surface. It does not use electricity or refrigeration. Its role is everyday warm-weather comfort, not emergency cooling.
Which size should I choose?
Regular is 25.6 in / 65 cm across and suits cats or small-to-medium dogs that fit comfortably within that space. Large is 39.4 in / 100 cm across and gives larger dogs, sprawlers, or two smaller pets more room. Measure your pet while lying down, then use the cooling water bed size guide to compare the two listed footprints before choosing.
Which surface option should I choose?
Choose Standard for gentle daily rest, Upgraded Nail Resistant for pets that paw or nest before settling, and ProGuard Deluxe Enhanced when the strongest listed surface option is the priority.
How much water should I add?
Start with a modest amount and test the feel. Less water creates a softer, more flexible surface; more water makes it firmer. Leave room for movement, avoid overfilling, and close the cap securely.
Is the bed puncture-proof?
No. The upgraded options are intended to offer more surface protection, but no option is puncture-proof or chew-proof. Keep claws maintained, place the bed on a smooth surface, and remove it if your pet bites, digs, or scratches aggressively. Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, for supervised use in full shade on a smooth surface. Do not place it in direct sun, on hot pavement, sharp gravel, or rough decking. Bring it indoors when conditions become hot.
Should I move the bed after filling it?
It is better to choose the resting spot first and fill it there. A water-filled bed becomes heavier, especially in Large, and dragging it can stress the material or caps.
How do I clean and store it?
Drain the bed, wipe the surface clean, and let it dry fully before storing it flat. Inspect the surface, seams, and caps before the next use.
What if my pet is hesitant to use it?
Place it where your pet already rests and let them investigate without pressure. Start with less water for a lower-motion feel, keep a familiar toy nearby, and give them time.
How can the Upgraded Cooling Water Bed fit a warm-weather rest routine?
The water-filled surface gives dogs and cats a low place to rest in warm weather. Set it up in shade, keep fresh water and ventilation available, and seek veterinary help if your pet shows signs of heat illness or pain.
