Product Overview

Non-Slip Pet Stairs for Dogs and Cats Who Need a Steadier Climb

These dog stairs for bed and couch help dogs and cats reach beds, couches, and favorite resting spots without relying on a full jump. The non-slip surface and step-by-step path are especially helpful for small pets, senior pets, cautious climbers, and pets who hesitate on slick floors.

Best Fit: Small dogs, cats, senior pets, and pets who need a stable route to furniture.

Use It For: Bed access, sofa access, window lounging, gentle daily access routines, and nighttime climbs.

Setup: Place flush against furniture, check that the top step aligns well, and keep the base stable.

Care: Vacuum hair and keep the stepping surface dry so paws maintain grip.

Why a Stable Step Path Matters

Jump Reduction

The stairs turn a single high leap into smaller repeatable steps, which can make daily furniture access feel less intimidating.

For Cats Too

Cats often prefer controlled vertical routes when the steps are steady, close to the destination, and placed along a path they already use.

Non-Slip Confidence

A grippy surface helps pets focus on climbing instead of bracing against sliding paws, especially on bedroom or living-room floors.

Better Than Makeshift Stacking

Using a purpose-built stair keeps height, surface, and placement more consistent than stacking pillows, boxes, or ottomans.

Choosing the Right Placement

Height Tip

Match step height to your mattress or sofa. If the final movement still feels like a jump, consider a taller stair option.

Training Tip

Guide pets slowly up and down before leaving the stairs in regular use. Downward practice is just as important as climbing up.

Good To Know

These stairs support everyday access, but pets with sudden limping, pain, or mobility changes should be evaluated by a professional.

Usage Scenario

Where non-slip pet stairs help most

Use these steps as a consistent indoor access path for pets that can still climb but need a softer, steadier route to favorite furniture.

Bedside

Lower bed access

Use it for: small or senior pets that repeatedly jump onto a lower bed.

Setup: place the stairs flush with the mattress side and keep the position consistent.

Fit note: measure the bed height before choosing 2 or 3 steps.

Sofa

Living-room couch routine

Use it for: pets that move between the floor and sofa throughout the day.

Setup: set the stairs where your pet naturally approaches the couch and reward calm first climbs.

Fit note: avoid placing the stairs in a walkway where people may bump them.

Small pets

Cats and short-legged dogs

Use it for: pets that need extra help reaching cushions, chairs, or window-adjacent spots.

Setup: start with low-pressure sessions and let your pet explore the steps voluntarily.

Fit note: confidence matters more than speed.

Senior support

Senior pet daily routine

Use it for: older pets that still step confidently but benefit from a gentler furniture route.

Setup: use treats and praise, and stop if your pet hesitates or looks uncomfortable.

Fit note: ask a veterinarian about ramps if stairs are not appropriate.

Care

Bedroom and living-room freshness

Use it for: homes where fur, paw dust, and everyday surface mess need easy upkeep.

Setup: remove and wash the cover as needed, then dry fully before reuse.

Fit note: keep the base and floor clean so the non-slip backing can work properly.

First Use

Treat-led furniture route

Use It For: small, senior, or short-legged pets that can climb but need a more predictable way to reach furniture.

Setup: position the stairs against the couch or bed and practice slow climbs before daily use.

Fit Tip: best when the step height closely matches the furniture height.

Care Tip: These stairs support everyday access for step-confident pets. They are not a medical device or a substitute for veterinary care.

Product FAQs

Which step option fits my bed or sofa?
Choose 2 steps for lower couches and chairs, and 3 steps for standard sofas or lower beds. Measure from the floor to the top of the furniture surface before choosing.
What size are the stairs?
The 2-step size is 19.7 x 14.2 x 11.8 in (50 x 36 x 30 cm). The 3-step size is 27.6 x 14.2 x 13.8 in (70 x 36 x 35 cm).
Can the stairs help reduce repeated jumps?
They create a steadier everyday route for pets that can climb confidently and need help reaching furniture. They are not a treatment for pain, injury, or disease.
Will the stairs slide?
The non-slip base helps the stairs stay placed on suitable indoor floors. For best results, position them flush against furniture and keep the floor clean and dry.
Is the cover washable?
Yes. Remove the cover and wash it according to the care label, then let it dry fully before placing it back on the foam.
When might a ramp be a better choice?
Consider a ramp or veterinary guidance if your pet has severe mobility limits, poor balance, back issues, or has been advised to avoid stairs.
Can cats and senior pets use them?
Cats and senior pets can use the stairs when they can climb confidently and the step height fits the furniture. Start slowly and stop if your pet hesitates or looks uncomfortable.
How should I introduce the stairs?
Place them flush against furniture, keep the floor clean and dry, and guide the first climbs with treats or a favorite toy. Practice going down as well as going up.

Customer photo review of Orthopedic Dog Stairs for Joint Relief

Our 9-pound tricolor Beagle mix likes sitting beside us on the low sofa, but she used to pause before jumping up from the floor. The 2 Steps / Green Non-Slip Pet Stairs fit beside it without taking over the room. The compact version is about 15.7 by 14.2 by 11.8 inches, which suits our setup. The two broad steps have a gently curved shape, a soft sage-green textured cover, matching green side panels, rounded front corners, and a dark base. I placed the stairs flush against the sofa and adjusted the top step so the transition felt even. The raised texture gives her paws more grip than the smooth floor. She sniffed the lower step, put one paw on the upper level, and looked back at me before trying the full route. After a few treat-assisted trips, she started going up and down without waiting for a lift. The stairs stayed in place during her normal climbs, and the lower step gives her room to pause and turn. The two-step height works well for our low sofa but would not reach our taller bed. The green color is quieter than the brighter options, and the removable cover is easy to wash. She now uses the stairs as part of her usual sofa routine, and they have made low-furniture access feel much more manageable.

These stairs have made it easier for our 8-pound tuxedo cat to reach the low window bench without jumping from the tile. I chose the Green, 2 Steps version, and the compact shape fits neatly beside the bench without crowding the entryway. The cover has a soft, textured feel, the side panel is a lighter sage green, and the dark base gives it a clean finished look. She was cautious at first, but after a few treats she walked up one step at a time and now uses it for short trips to the bench. The textured surface feels more secure than the smooth floor, and the stairs stayed in place during calm climbs. The two-step height works well for low furniture, though I would measure the bench or sofa before ordering. The cover can be removed for washing, which is a nice practical touch. Overall, it is a compact, good-looking way to give a small pet an easier route up to low furniture.

Our 9-pound cream-and-gray Scottish Fold mix loves watching the street from the low window seat, but she usually waits for me to lift her up. I set the 2 Steps / Green pet stairs against the cushion and left them there for a few days so they became part of the room. Then I used small treats to introduce the lower step. She now steps up, pauses to look around, and climbs the second level when the room is quiet. The Green version has a softly textured olive yellow-green top, lighter sage-green side panels, a curved two-step shape, rounded front edges, a dark strip along the base, and a small tan-brown patch near the top. The 19.7 by 14.2 by 11.8 inch size fits our low window seat and gives her a gentler route than one jump. The treads suit her small paws, but there is not much room to turn around halfway, so I keep the landing clear. I check that the back is flush with the seat, the base is flat, and the surface is dry before she uses it. I leave treats on the lower step while she is learning and stop if she backs away or tries to jump off the side. The cover can be washed, and I vacuum fur from the textured surface. The darker base helps it feel settled on the floor, but I still supervise. The muted Green color fits the room nicely, and for a small cat who prefers a quiet, repeatable route, it has become a useful way up to her window seat.

Customer photo review of Orthopedic Dog Stairs for Joint Relief

Our cat has always been hesitant about jumping onto the low loveseat, so we set these stairs in front of it and spent a few sessions guiding him with treats. He now walks up the curved steps instead of launching from the rug, and the two-level height is a comfortable match for that seat. The ribbed walking surface gives his paws something to grip, and the rounded shape feels less intimidating than a tall, steep step. The striped sides and small patch are cheerful without looking out of place in the room. The stairs are light enough to move when we rearrange the furniture, but they stay put on our hardwood once positioned. Cat hair collects in the ribbing, so I vacuum the walking area regularly and keep it dry. I still check that the top is flush with the cushion and supervise him because he sometimes gets excited and jumps from the arm anyway. They work well for low furniture, though a taller bed or a pet that prefers a ramp would need a different setup.

Customer photo review of Orthopedic Dog Stairs for Joint Relief

Our small dog used to wait for us to lift her onto the low loveseat, so we tried these stairs beside it. I placed the top edge flush with the cushion and used treats for the first few attempts. She still pauses sometimes, but now she climbs up when the room is calm instead of making the whole jump. The ribbed walking surface gives her paws some grip, and the foam feels firm under her. The two-step height suits our low loveseat, though it would not be enough for a taller bed. The non-slip base keeps it from sliding on our hardwood, but I still check the alignment and keep the surface dry. Hair and crumbs collect in the ridges, so I vacuum them and follow the wash instructions. It has made everyday furniture access easier, although a pet that dislikes curved steps may prefer a wider ramp.

Customer photo review of Vet-Approved Washable Dog Stairs for Joint Support

I got the 3-step Banana Yellow ramp for my 12 year old dachshund because jumping onto our bed was getting harder for him. The slope is much easier for him than the little cube stairs we had before, and he figured it out after a day or two with a treat trail. It feels light enough to move but still stays put on our wood floor, which I was honestly worried about. The foam is firm and the cover is soft, though the yellow does show paw dirt a bit faster than I expected.

Customer photo review of Non-Slip Dog & Cat Stairs, 2-3 Steps for Pets, Easy Climb

I bought this for my Buddy, who's 10 years old and struggles with his hips. These stairs have been a fantastic solution. He can easily climb into bed now without any discomfort.

Customer photo review of Non-Slip Dog & Cat Stairs, 2-3 Steps for Pets, Easy Climb

Lily is using these stairs daily. She’s finally able to hop up to the couch, and the stairs are a great height for her. The only reason I’m giving four stars is that I wish the cover were a bit more scratch-resistant.

Customer photo review of Non-Slip Dog & Cat Stairs, 2-3 Steps for Pets, Easy Climb

I can't express how much these stairs have helped our senior cat, Luna. She's able to get up on the bed with ease now. Plus, the design is cute and matches our furniture. Super happy with this purchase!

Honestly, I was tired of lifting my 45lb Lab mix onto the bed every night, but I also didn't want a giant plastic eyesore in my bedroom. I did a lot of digging and settled on these. What I love is how STURDY they are. Most pet stairs I’ve seen at the big box stores are super wobbly, which makes my dog nervous, but these stay put. The fabric is actually nice—it doesn't have that cheap, fuzzy feel. It’s more of a high-end upholstery vibe. My girl took to them almost immediately with a few treats. It’s a relief knowing she’s not jarring her shoulders jumping down anymore. Definitely worth the price for the peace of mind.

I was getting so stressed watching my frenchie Bella launch herself off the sofa. we all know their backs are tickings time bombs. picked this up last week and honestly it’s a relief. the foam is firm, not that squishy cheap stuff, so she actually feels stable walking on it. took a handful of treats to get her used to it but now she zooms up and down. fits right in with our grey couch too.

Look the quality is fine i guess, the foam is dense. But the steps are way too narrow for my beagle. He tries to go down and his back feet slip off the step above. He got scared and now refuses to go near it. Maybe good for a tiny dog like a yorkie but if your dog is over 25lbs i would look for something with deeper steps. bummer.

got the 3 step one for the bed. its a bit steeper than i thought it would be? my dog is a pug and he struggled a bit at first. the material is nice though, very soft and grippy so he doesnt slide. just took about a week of training before he stopped staring at it and actually used it. good quality just takes patience.

Sehr zufrieden.

does the job perfectly. my old girl struggles with arthritis and this has made bedtime so much easier for her. unzipped the cover to wash it yesterday and it came out good as new. simple product but works great.

It took a day of treats to get Bailey used to them, but now he walks up and down with confidence. Seeing him able to get to his favorite spot comfortably again is priceless. Thank you

I got the 3 step one for our high bed because our golden, Buster, is getting up there in years and his hips have been giving him trouble. He used to whimper when he'd try to jump up, and it broke my heart. Now he just trots up the steps like he's a puppy again. It's truly made a world of difference for him and for my peace of mind. Plus, the cover washes great when Buster decides to bring a muddy paw print inside.

Our tiny Lily loves being on the couch with us but jumping off was a nightmare for my knees. These steps are just the right height for our sofa and she took to them really quickly. They look nice too, the fabric is pretty soft.

These stairs are solid, my dog loves them. She's a Corgi so jumping off the bed was always a fall risk. The only thing is, our bed is really high, so even the 3-step version is still a small stretch for her to get on the bed. But she uses it, which is the main thing. The quality feels nice and the cover is easy to zip off.

Klare Empfehlung!

Bought this for my little terrier pup so he wouldn't hurt himself jumping off the bed. He just... won't use it. Still jumps right over it. A complete waste of money for me. Maybe an older dog would get it, but mine is too stubborn.

Got the 2 steps for our living room couch. Our little terrier mix, Sparky, adapted to it right away. It's light enough to move if we need to clean under it, but it doesn't slide around when he uses it. Definitely helps ease my mind about his joint health.

With two older dogs, a Dachshund and a Jack Russell, getting on and off the bed was becoming a real issue. We got the 3-step stairs and they are fantastic. The dogs use them all the time. The best part is how easy the cover comes off to wash. With two pups, spills and accidents happen, so that feature is a lifesaver. It keeps things smelling fresh and looking clean.

My vet told me to get steps for my little terrier mix, Buttons. She jumps on and off the couch like a maniac. These steps are super soft but sturdy. Buttons uses them without any fuss. It’s comforting to know she’s not putting so much stress on her little body every day.

I got the 2-step version and it's exactly the right height for our living room couch. My Frenchie, Gus, is getting a bit chunky and this helps him get up and down without all the grunting. Looks good too.

My dog, Pip, loves these steps. He used to try and jump on the bed and sometimes miss. Now he just walks right up.

Bought these for my sister who has a senior pug. She said it was exactly what she needed. Her dog uses it constantly now. Happy with the purchase.

I bought these as a gift for a friend whose pug, Wrinkles, is getting really old and frail. Wrinkles used to just stare longingly at the couch because jumping up was too painful. My friend said it broke her heart. Well, the day these arrived, Wrinkles hesitantly sniffed them, then took a step, then another. Now she just waddles right up and down! It's been amazing to see. My friend sent me a video of Wrinkles curled up on the couch, snoring. Made me so happy. These stairs truly made a difference.

Oh my goodness, I wish I bought these sooner for Buddy. He's my sweet golden retriever, almost 10 now, and his hips just aren't what they used to be. Every time he tried to jump on the couch for cuddles, I'd cringe. You could just see it in his eyes, he wanted to be close but it was getting hard. These stairs are a game changer, really. He learned to use them so fast. Now he just trots right up, no more big thuds or awkward landings. The foam is firm but soft, perfect for his old joints. It's truly given us peace of mind and Buddy loves being able to snuggle on the couch again. We got the 3 step one for our high bed too, planning to get it next pay check. Such a relief.

My little dachshund kept trying to jump on the couch. Not good for his back. These stairs fixed that! Easy peasy.

My chihuahua, Peanut, is a tiny terror who loves jumping on everything. I worried about his little legs in the long run. These stairs are just right. They're sturdy for him, and the material looks nice. Now he uses them instead of leaping off the armrest. Big win for his joints.

My terrier, Scout, loves to roll in mud. These stairs are a lifesaver because the cover just zips right off and I can throw it in the wash. Comes out looking brand new every time. Plus, they look way better than the ugly plastic ramp I had before. Super practical for a messy dog family.

My golden retriever, Buddy, is almost 12 and getting on the bed was a real struggle for him lately. He'd just stand there looking sad. Got these 3-step stairs and it's been a game changer. He took to them right away. The foam is super dense, you can tell it's not cheap stuff. He climbs up and down so smoothly now. Worth every penny to see him comfortable.
