Automatic Laser Cat Toy FAQ: Play, Power & Safe Routine

WhiskerPlay Automatic Laser Cat Toy FAQs

What play modes and timers are included?

Gear I switches between fast and slow automatic play and stops after 10 minutes. Gear II runs a 10-minute session every two hours for up to 12 hours. Gear M lets you guide the toy by hand and stops after 20 minutes.

How can I power the toy?

Use the supplied USB power cable near an outlet, or add four AA batteries when you want more freedom to place the toy. The AA batteries are not included.

Where should I place it?

Set it on a stable, level surface and check that the light stays on a reachable floor or wall area. Leave enough clear space for your cat to move, and keep the toy away from edges where it could be knocked down.

Is the motor quiet?

It is designed for low-noise indoor play. The surface underneath it and the acoustics of the room can affect how noticeable the motor sounds.

How should I introduce laser play?

Start with a short supervised session, keep the beam away from eyes and watch how your cat responds. Stop if your cat seems distressed or keeps searching after the light is off. You can end with a wand, ball or other toy your cat can catch.

Should this replace other cat toys?

No. Use it as one part of a varied play routine that also includes tactile toys, scratching, climbing and time with you. Individual cats have different play preferences.
