To be honest, I bought this on a whim. My wife saw an ad and said our Lab, Duke, might like it for the summer. I figured it’d be another one of those gimmicky pet things that ends up in the garage after a week. Well, I was wrong. The setup took maybe five minutes—just hook it up to the garden hose and you’re good to go. The water sprays aren’t too strong, which I appreciate, and they arch just enough for Duke to chase through them like a nut. He usually hates getting sprayed, but for some reason, he’s obsessed with this thing. Runs around like he’s five years old again. What I really like is it doesn’t flood the yard like I feared. Water drains out well, and the mat’s surprisingly durable. We’ve used it four or five times now, and no tears yet (Duke’s nails aren’t exactly gentle).
