Our senior lab would not settle on the old bed, and this one has been a real change. The cooling layer actually stays cool to the touch, and the nail resistant cover has held up through months of scratching. She sleeps straight through the night now.
The surface gives a little under his paws, more like a waterbed than a mat. He keeps choosing it over the kitchen tile now, though once it is full you will want to decide where it lives first.
Two dogs and one water bed is apparently not enough, they take turns on it. The nail resistant surface has held up so far, no scratches after a few weeks of use.

It gives my dog a cool spot to stretch out after a walk, without taking over the room. I like that it wips clean and stores flat when the weather cools down.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Keeps the pup cool. No leaks. Happy days.

Living in Florida means its hot pretty much all the time. My old lab has arthritis and the heat makes her miserable. This bed kills two birds with one stone - cools her down and the water acts like an orthopedic cushion. She spends half her day on this thing. Easy to wipe clean too when she tracks mud on it.
The idea is great but my dog hates it. He stepped on it once, felt the water move underneath him, and got scared. Hasn't touched it since. I think it works well if your dog isn't a coward like mine lol. Quality seems fine, just not for us.
