The front lip is softly padded, and the base sits low enough for her to step in without climbing. I placed the opening toward the room, added a familiar blanket beside it, and left a separate open cushion nearby so she could choose between covered and uncovered rest. She inspected the entrance for most of the first evening and only put her front paws inside. On the second night she walked in after following me into the office, turned around once, and curled up with her face near the opening.
